Masked gunmen killed five Indians in Colombia on Wednesday even as U.N. officials marked World Indigenous Day with a call for illegal combat groups to keep Indians out of the country’s armed conflict. The pre-dawn attack by a group of up to nine men in black shirts and ski masks occurred in Altaquer, 350 miles southwest of Bogota near the border with Ecuador, the United Nations said in a statement.
