Israeli troops take over Lebanese village
Israeli troops backed by artillery and tank fire seized control of a Lebanese border village on Saturday, military officials said. Israeli warplanes also hit communications and television transmission towers in central and northern Lebanese mountains. After Maroun al-Ras was taken, Israeli soldiers in armored personal carriers traveled to and from the village, but there was no large-scale movement. The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the information, said several soldiers were involved in the raid. Full Story
