Two e-mails purportedly from a little-known Islamic militant group that took credit for last week’s deadly Mumbai train bombings were a hoax sent by a teenage boy in southern India seeking “publicity,” a top investigator said Wednesday. With no arrests or breakthroughs in the search for those behind the July 11 blasts, which killed 207 people and wounded more than 800, suspicion has centered on Islamic militants fighting Indian rule in the disputed territory of Kashmir.
