Israel on Thursday imposed a sea and air blockade on Lebanon to cut off supply routes to Lebanese militants, the Israeli military said. Earlier Thursday, Israeli aircraft bombed Beirut’s international airport. The army later said Israel has also imposed a naval blockade on its northern neighbor to cut off the supply of weapons to the Lebanese guerrilla group Hezbollah via Syria.
