Israel mulls city attack response

Israel’s prime minister has held an urgent cabinet meeting following the first Palestinian rocket attack on a major Israeli city from the Gaza Strip. The rocket hit an empty school yard in central Ashkelon on Tuesday evening causing light damage but no injuries. It is described as the longest-range rocket attack by Palestinian militants to date and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has already pledged stiff retaliation. Full Story
