Militants blew up two state-owned gas pipelines in southwestern Pakistan yesterday, leaving thousands of domestic consumers without natural gas. A nearby landmine blast killed one soldier. The pipeline attacks happened near Sui, a town about 350 kilometres east of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan where Pakistan’s main gas fields are located, said gas company spokesman Inayat Ullah.
