A California port official says the Port of Hueneme in Ventura County, northwest of Los Angeles, has been closed off while authorities investigate a possible terrorist threat on a cargo ship. The port’s marketing director, Will Berg, says the shutdown came just before noon after a dockworker discovered a possible threat written in the cargo hold of a ship carrying bananas from Guatemala.
