Pakistan, Afghanistan agree to step up cooperation in ‘war on terror’

Pakistan and Afghanistan agreed to step up their cooperation in the fight against terrorism, an official statement said after a meeting between Kabul’s foreign minister and Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf. Rangin Dadfar Spanta met Musharraf after arriving here earlier in the day on a visit against a backdrop of recent tension between the two neighbours over Kabul’s allegations the Taliban were using Pakistani soil to launch attacks.
