Afghanistan’s main human rights group said it had been told by witnesses and villagers that between 25 and 30 civilians were killed in a major coalition strike this week. The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission also condemned as a “clear” violation of human rights the civilian casualties in the attack that started in Kandahar province’s Panjwayi district late Sunday.
