Indian troops shot dead three suspected Islamic militants along the de facto border dividing Kashmir between India and Pakistan, the army said. “The three were killed Thursday evening when they refused to surrender and opened fire after infiltrating into our territory,” spokesman Colonel Vijay Kumar Batra told AFP on Friday. He said the three, armed with assault rifles, entered the northern Kupwara district of Indian Kashmir from the Pakistani zone of the Himalayan region. Full Story
