An Iranian official said Tuesday that Tehran had no intention of withdrawing from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and promised to cooperate if the U.N. atomic watchdog agency dealt with the issue of its nuclear program, rather than the U.N. Security Council. The five permanent members of the Security Council are working on a resolution to pressure Iran to give up uranium enrichment and clear up questions about its nuclear program.
