Nepal’s new government have scrapped all appointments made by King Gyanendra since October 2002, recalling hand-picked ambassadors to key countries such as Britain, India and the United States. “The cabinet meeting Sunday decided to revoke all the appointments made by the king since October 2002,” Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat told AFP Sunday. “The cabinet has also decided to recall 12 ambassadors appointed by the king during his regime,” Mahat said.
