Seven police officers were injured in bomb explosions and gun fire after they were lured to a village in Thailand’s restive south, police said. Suspected Islamic militants ambushed the officers who were called to Tanyonglimo village in Narathiwat province following reports that one of the villagers had been shot, a police official said Saturday. The militants detonated a bomb as they arrived, triggering a 10-minute shootout with the officers, the official said. Full Story
