Terror funding detection gets $12m boost
The federal government will spend $12 million boosting a transnational crime prevention centre that tracks down the funding sources for terrorist groups. Education, Science and Training Minister Julie Bishop announced the funding for the University of Wollongong’s Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention (CTCP). The funding, to be included in next week’s federal budget, will allow a major expansion of the research and training facilities for the existing CTCP, established in 2000. Full Story
