US Central Command chief General John Abizaid held talks with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf about the “war on terror” and also met senior military officials. Pakistani military spokesman Major General Shaukat Sultan said Abizaid was on a routine visit to Pakistan, a major US ally in the global fight against terrorism. “They discussed the geo-strategic environment, the regional situation and matters of mutual interest during the meeting,” an official statement said.
