Two people died in Indian Kashmir when suspected Islamic rebels attacked a security patrol, police said, a day after separatists held “fruitful” peace talks with India’s premier. Eight people were also wounded when militants hurled a grenade at a paramilitary security patrol in Chadoora town in central Kashmir, sending passers-by fleeing in panic, police said on Thursday. “So far, we have reports of two civilian deaths and injuries to eight others, including three Border Security Force personnel,” a police spokesman said.
