The US ambassador to Beirut condemned Syria’s warrants issued against Lebanese Telecommunication Minister Marwan Hamadeh, prominent MP Walid Jumblatt and journalist Fares Khashan. “This is yet another cynical attempt by the Syrian government to continue its interference in the Lebanese political process,” the ambassador, Jeffrey Feltman, said in a statement.
