Two Buses Bombed in Colombia; 24 Hurt

Bombs exploded on two buses in a working class district of Colombia’s capital Thursday, injuring two dozen passengers, including three children with burns over half their body, officials said. Authorities said the near simultaneous blasts in southern Bogota were likely the work of leftist rebels. “This was a terrorist act … an attack against the entire society,” said Luis Eduardo Garzon, Bogota’s mayor, after an emergency meeting with the city and government security officials.
