3 Americans hurt in Afghan blast

A suicide bomber set off his explosives-laden car outside a U.S. military base in Afghanistan on Friday, wounding three Americans in the second attack on a U.S. base in 24 hours. The police chief of the southern province of Helmand, Abdur Rahman, initially said two British soldiers were wounded when the bomber rammed his car into their vehicle just outside their base in the provincial capital, Lashkar Ghar. But the U.S. military later said two U.S. service members and a U.S. civilian contractor were slightly wounded in the blast at the main gate of their base. Full Story
