Pakistan lodged a “strong protest” with Afghanistan on Thursday over the killing by Afghan soldiers of at least 14 Pakistanis, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman said. Tasnim Aslam said the ministry summoned Afghanistan’s ambassador to Pakistan and “demanded an independent investigation into the incident and punishment for those responsible” for the killings.
