A series of guerrilla attacks in and around Baghdad killed at least 11 people on Monday, including an Iraqi general, and wounded at least 58, officials said. The American military announced that an American soldier had been killed in Anbar Province, the western desert region that has become a wellspring of the insurgency. Two more people were killed this morning, and at least 19 wounded, Iraqi officials said, in a series of bombings and in a gun battle outside a Shiite mosque in Baghdad. Full Story
