Saudi Arabia on Wednesday joined the list of Arab countries that said they were unwilling to cut off money to Hamas, as the United States has requested. Saudi Arabia gives the Palestinian government $15 million a month, and Prince Saud al-Faisal, the Saudi foreign minister, told Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during meetings here that “it would be height of irony, at the time when we need to take care of these people who are seeking peace, that we shall fall short of doing so,” he said during a news conference Wednesday night.
