One soldier has been killed and five others hurt in an attack in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, officials say. The four-vehicle army convoy was hit by rockets as it travelled to Sibi, about 100km (65 miles) south-east of Quetta, military officials said. It is not clear who the attackers are. They are being searched for by security forces, a provincial spokesman said. Gas-rich Balochistan has seen months of violence as tribal groups push for greater political and economic rights.
