The German government faced a new call Wednesday for an investigation into whether Berlin secretly supported the U.S.-led war in Iraq as it presented a report on the activities of German agents in Iraq. Opposition lawmakers have called for a parliamentary inquiry into the spies’ deployment in Baghdad after media reports said they helped U.S. forces identify bombing targets.
