Colombia’s attorney general on Wednesday charged seven soldiers in the shooting deaths of five members of a peasant family, including a 6-month-old baby. The soldiers have said they shot the family in 2004 because they mistook them for leftist rebels during a nighttime patrol in a guerrilla stronghold near Cajamarca, 90 miles southeast of the capital.
