Bomb hits Afghan police, car bomb discovered

A bomb struck a police and coalition patrol in insurgency-hit southern Afghanistan, wounding eight people, while security forces found a minibus rigged up to be a car bomb, officials said. Two mines wired to detonators were meanwhile discovered and defused near the headquarters of the police’s quick reaction force in the capital Kabul, police said. Full Story
