The leader of a Rainier Valley mosque who was arrested by the Seattle FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force in November will appear before an immigration judge this morning to be charged with giving false information to immigration officials to gain entry to the United States. The arrest of Abu Abrahim Sheik Mohamed — the respected imam of the Abu-Bakr Mosque — as he got off a domestic flight at Sea-Tac Airport on Nov. 14 shocked Seattle’s Somali community, who know him as a measured man who works to keeps local kids out of trouble.
