Iraq set for final poll results

Final results of Iraq’s parliamentary elections, which took place six weeks ago, are due to be published on Friday.

The Shia-led United Iraqi Alliance is expected to be the single largest grouping, but a coalition is likely to be needed to form a government. A number of Sunni politicians have alleged fraud. International observers have issued a report which criticised irregularities, but made no final judgement on whether the poll was free and fair. Full Story
