Australia arrests Serb commander for war crimes
A former Serb commander, now an Australian citizen, charged with war crimes committed during Croatia’s 1991-95 war of independence has been arrested in Australia, Attorney-General Philip Ruddock said on Friday. Dragan Vasiljkovic was arrested in Sydney after Australia received a request from the Croatian government, Ruddock said. Vasiljkovic, 51, appeared in a Sydney court on Friday and was refused bail, Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio said. Full Story
