Unearthing the past in Namibia
For more than 15 years, the sands of northern Namibia have hidden many of the victims of this country’s troubled past. In the last few months however, the authorities have been discovering unidentified graves that date back to the struggle for independence from South Africa during the apartheid era. It is now thought that hundreds of bodies were buried across northern Namibia at the height of the conflict in the 1980s. Full Story
