Heavily armed troops searched for Tamil Tiger rebel infiltrators Friday in government-held areas in Sri Lanka’s restive north, a day after an anti-personnel mine killed nine sailors in the latest deadly attack on the military.The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, meanwhile, said thousands of ethnic minority Tamil families were fleeing their homes in the north after the military intensified house-to-house searches.
