ATM fraudsters benefit from better tech
The equipment used by the current crop of automatic teller machine thieves is improving. Last week, police asked for aid in locating thieves that stole $100,000 from New York City cash machines using fake cards and real PINs collected by stick-on card readers and keypads adhered to real ATMs, according to a CNN news report. The latest scheme uses keypads and slots that appear much more authentic than previous schemes. Full Story
