Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s centrist Kadima party would easily win a March 28 general election even without the incapacitated leader at its helm, two newspaper polls published on Friday showed. The polls were the first to test the political waters for Sharon’s newly formed Kadima party since the prime minister suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage on Wednesday night and was said by doctors to be unlikely to return to public life.
