At least 10 Sri Lankan soldiers were killed Tuesday when their convoy was hit by a Claymore mine in the country’s north, military officials said, blaming Tamil Tiger rebels for the attack. Eighteen soldiers were traveling on an army bus when the mine exploded near the town of Point Pedro, in the northern state of Jaffna.
