Uribe confirms anti-Chávez meeting
Members of the Colombian armed forces met with Venezuelan ex-military officers opposed to the Chávez government in a Colombian government building, President Uribe admitted on Saturday. “President Chávez gave me some papers. The Venezuelan ex-military officers who are in Bogotá went to a building to meet Colombian officers. I have to tell you the truth, this is a building of the Colombian armed forces. I inform the whole world that the Government of Colombia will not permit that anybody foments conspiracies against a democratic government, much less a brother nation.” Full Story
