Intelligence officials on Tuesday disclosed reports of fresh terrorist threats in the country, confirming that members of the al-Qaeda-linked Jema’ah Islamiyah are out “detonate 1,000 kilos of super bomb” targeting embassies, particularly the US Embassy. At a hearing of the House Committee on Appropriations on the budget of the Office of the President’s National Security Council, retired Gen. Victor Mayo, the deputy national security adviser, said these militants were behind the Bali bombing in October 2005 and the bombing of the Australian Embassy in Indonesia in 2004. Full Story
