The Iranian justice minister chided the United States on Wednesday for its role in putting Saddam Hussein on trial, claiming that Washington wanted to forget that it sold weapons to the former Iraqi leader during his eight-year war with Tehran. And, on the first day of the former ruler’s trial in Baghdad, Iran’s Foreign Ministry restated concerns that the charges against the 68-year-old Saddam did not include his aggression against his eastern neighbor.
