Britain said on Monday it would seek to add another 15 organizations to the government’s list of terrorist groups, including militants active in Iraq. The move, which would require approval by both houses of parliament, would bring to 40 the number of groups banned under the Terrorism Act 2000, including al Qaeda. The act calls for jail sentences of up to 10 years for members of banned groups. Full Story
