Orders to pay compensation to families of deceased and injured. —“Six people including a woman and a minor were killed and more than 35 others sustained injuries when two powerful local-made bombs exploded in two localities of the Provincial Metropolis, with the interval of 40 minutes Thursday. Talking to journalists, Lahore Police (Operations) Chief Mohammad Aamir Zulifqar Khan termed the two explosions an act of terrorism. He believed that the explosions seemed to be interlinked. “There is a possibility that some foreign hands are behind the blasts,” intelligence sources observed. “Both the bombs were local made and planted on bicycles at two different public places targetting passers-by, vendors and shopkeepers”, police said.
