Talking to journalists, Lahore Police (Operations) Chief Mohammad Aamir Zulifqar Khan termed the two explosions an act of terrorism. He believed that the explosions seemed to be interlinked. “There is a possibility that some foreign hands are behind the blasts,” intelligence sources observed. “Both the bombs were local made and planted on bicycles at two different public places targetting passers-by, vendors and shopkeepers”, police said.
