A powerful explosion shook Beirut late Friday. The cause was not immediately known, but an increased number of soldiers were seen in in an apparent response to the blast. The explosion came just before midnight, but it’s exact location was not immediately known. The Lebanese capital has been hit by a string of bomb blasts since late last year, several of them targeting key figures — including former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, who was slain in a car bomb on a Beirut street on Feb. 14.Full Story
