Italy expels ‘Islamic extremist’
A Tunisian national has been deported from Italy under new anti-terror laws – the second North African to be expelled from the country in a week. Ben Said Faycal was a suspected member of “Islamic terrorist cells” operating in northern Italy, the interior ministry said. He was arrested in the town of Varese and then put on a Tunisia-bound plane on Wednesday, the ministry said. The tough anti-terror laws were adopted in July, after the London bomb attacks. On Tuesday, Italy expelled Moroccan-born imam Bourki Bouchta, saying he represented a danger to public security. Full Story
