An Internet statement posted Monday and purportedly issued by al-Qaida in Iraq warned Sunni Muslims to stay away from sites that militants in Iraq are likely to attack. The statement, the authenticity of which could not be verified, was the first of its type to be written in both Arabic and English. Such statements are normally written only in Arabic. This particular statement advised Sunnis to stay away from Baghdad International Airport, which the group claimed “is a hide out for the crusaders and the renegades,” as well as other “sites of vice and infidelity.” Full Story
