In 130 years of conflict, the Indonesian province of Aceh has rarely been so close to peace. The government expressed optimism Thursday that it will reach a tentative agreement with separatists at talks that begin Tuesday in Helsinki, Finland. Senior government negotiator Sofyan Djalil, said he expected a final accord to be signed before Aug. 17, when Indonesia celebrates its independence from Dutch colonial rule. Full Story
