Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice visits China this weekend on a trip that includes stops in South Korea and Japan, all countries involved in talks to rein in North Korea’s nuclear program. A notice on the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s International Press Center Web site, ipc.fmprc.gov.cn, said on Tuesday that Rice was coming, but a U.S. embassy spokeswoman and a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman could not confirm plans had been finalized.
