Authorities in Laos have released the last of four Americans detained after witnessing the surrender of Hmong rebels who were Vietnam War-era allies of the United States, the U.S. Embassy said Monday. “We’re very happy that all four Americans have been released,” said a U.S. Embassy spokesman in the capital of Vientiane, speaking on customary condition of anonymity.
