The head of Australia’s Federal Police, Mick Keelty, has backed warnings of a possible terrorist attack in the East Timorese capital, Dili. Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs has issued the warning, urging Australians to avoid East Timorese government buildings. The warning says Australians should also exercise extreme caution, particularly in areas frequented by foreigners, including hotels, clubs, restaurants, bars and embassies.
