Nine Iraqi policemen were killed today after a bomb exploded while they were trying to dismantle it, a police chief said. Three others were wounded as the bomb went off under an oil pipeline north of Kirkuk, said the head of the police for Kirkuk Province, Gen. Burhan Taib Taha. A fire erupted on the pipeline after the blast, he added. A rash of violent incidents occurred in and around Baghdad today, including a car bomb attack on an American convoy that killed five Iraqis and wounded four American contractors, the United States military said.Full Story
