Two cars driven by suicide bombers exploded at the entrance to a U.S. military camp on Monday in the western Iraqi town of Qaim, close to the border with Syria, witnesses said. The first rammed into a checkpoint outside the camp and detonated before breaching the gate, witnesses said. U.S. and Iraqi troops helped the wounded after a second car bomber drove up and blew up his vehicle, they said. Iraq’s al Qaeda wing, led by Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, said it was behind the attacks, according to an Internet statement.Full Story
