KUWAITI security forces, combating a surge in al-Qaeda-linked violence, killed four militants and captured three, including a suspected leader, during a gun battle yesterday. A Kuwaiti civilian was killed in the crossfire, while three policemen and three militants were wounded in what was the fourth such shoot-out in the country in a month.
