With just hours to go before Iraq’s first free election in half a century, at least eight people have been killed in two bombings at a U.S.-Iraqi military center. Seven others were wounded in the attacks early Saturday at the coordination facility in Khanaqin, a Kurdish town about 100 kilometers (62 miles) northeast of Baquba near the Iranian border, authorities said.
